out & about in jakarta

My first day out in Jakarta was pretty laid back. I started out looking at some jewelry by local artist, Jean Christian, and I found this beautiful jade ring!

After that I got lunch with my mom and cousin, then found this amazing shop, Tulisan, another local artist! She makes beautiful screen printed bags, accessories, housewares, and art. More to come on her later! Jakarta has a huge traffic problem, so there is a lot of time spent in the car. I got a little bored and decided to have my own impromptu photo shoot!

I ended the day with some time by the pool and a traditional Indonesian feast!
