In 2010, Kim was eager to find her way in the corporate world. Feeling unfulfilled by the daily grind, she came home, poured a glass of wine, and made some jewelry.

Today, Fresh Tangerine is known for easy-to-wear pieces that are feminine, delicate, and unexpected. We make each piece by hand in our Seattle, WA studio using quality metals and materials sourced from around the world. We love geometric shapes, pops of color and subtle (gold) sparkle. We drink WAY too much coffee, love our historic Pioneer Square neighborhood, and take frequent breaks to work on our dance moves (inspired by Beyoncé, of course).

We hope you love your jewelry and want to inspire you to take risks, be creative, travel, and dream big.

Founder, Kim Kogane, was born and raised in Alaska and now calls Seattle, WA home. She took a break from crafting to get her degree in math and french from a tiny liberal arts college, live in France, and do some traveling. Her current obsessions include coffee, Paris, HGTV, and anything gold.

  1. Love your bio, Kim! I have a degree in French & Communication. Studied in France and later lived and worked there as an English teacher. :) I'm also very involved with the French-American Chamber of Commerce in Seattle. As far as accessories go, I am especially fond of watches. My three gold watches include the likes of Michael Kors, Kate Spade, and Anne Klein. Plus, I looove HGTV. I wish you much success!
