The perfect summer playlist should make you feel good, make you want to move, make you want to sing at the top of your lungs, and be the soundtrack to all your summer memories. But how do you get that perfect mix?

Embrace the summer hits! They’re fun to dance to and you’re going to know the words 20 years from now anyway.
Dance dance dance! Dancing is to summer as Justin Timberlake is to catchy songs. All summer mixes must have those songs that make you want to bust a move.
Jump in the car! Essential to a summer mix are the songs that feel like the hoodie you wear around the beach bonfire. Songs that are perfect for drives along the coast. Songs that you can’t help turning up and belting out the lyrics.
Hit me baby one more time! Yep, I’m going to tell you to put 90s pop songs on your mix. These are the songs of our youth and the best part is you’re no longer ashamed that you know every single word.
Bring sassy back! Not that sassy ever left. Songs with attitude, songs that get you pumped up, and songs with sass are essential in getting you ready to go out and putting you in a fun mood.
Flower power! Oldies are where it’s at. They’re upbeat and familiar but not in that autotuned “oh my gawd I’ve heard this song 10 times today” way.
Round and round and round! Any song you can’t get out of your head immediately goes on the summer mix.Songs that oooooze summer. Like Steal My Sunshine by Len, Fader by Temper Trap, pretty much anything by the Beach Boys, Ho Hey by The Lumineers, Girl On TV by LFO, etc.

Here's what we're listening to right now:

1 // Get Lucky by Daft Punk and Pharrell
2 // Midnight City by M83
3 // Treasure by Bruno Mars
4 // Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke, Pharrell, and T.I.
5 // Radioactive by Imagine Dragons
6 // Let The Groove Get In by Justin Timberlake
7 // Get Your Shine On by Florida Georgia Line
8 // Fader by Temper Trap
9 // You Will Be Mine by Lenka
10 // Take You Higher by Goodwill & Hook N Sling
11 // Dress On by Justin Timberlake
12 // Faster by Matt Nathanson
13 // Say You’re Mine by Kate Voegele
14 // Home by Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros

Do you have a favorite summer playlist that you'd like to share? We’re always looking for more music to listen to in the studio! -LeAnna
